Doctoral studies

The education at the doctoral level is conducted in close collaboration with leading researchers at the department, with the aim of integrating the doctoral students into the research groups present at the department.

The education does not have a specific sociological subject orientation, although the dissertation work should fall within the framework of the department's existing research. However, the breadth of the department's research is extensive both in terms of content and methodology, which provides ample opportunity for doctoral students to pursue their own research initiatives.
