The Swedish Cancer Society has granted two postdoc positions

NEWS Two researchers at Umeå University have been granted a three-year postdoc position by the Swedish Cancer Society. In both cases, the amount in question is SEK 2,265,000.

  • Pallabi Sengupta, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, is part of Nasim Sabouri's research group. Project title: I-Motif DNA: A Novel Player in Cell Cycle Regulation and a Prospective Target both in Cancer Therapies and as Cancer Biomarkers.
    Pallabi Sengupta received his PhD from the Bose Institute in India in 2021.

  • Valentin L'Hôte, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, is part of Sjord Wanrooij's research group. Project title: Investigating the regulation of the senescence-associated secretory phenoytpe (SASP) by mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) metabolism for the development of novel anticancer senotherapies.
    Valentin L'Hôte received his PhD from the University of Paris-Saclay in 2022.
