ARCTIC SEMINAR IN HONOUR OF HM THE KING OF SWEDEN
14:00– 15:00 When HM King Carl XVI Gustaf celebrated his 70th birthday in 2016, Umeå University honoured him with a gift – a scientific seminar. The theme of the seminar is the Arctic – a highly topical issue – not least because of the climate changes that pose a substantial threat to the world we live in. The public is welcome.

CEREMONY
17:00– 19:00 The ceremony includes the conferment of honorary doctorates, the installation of professors, and the presentation of awards for scientific achievement. HM King of Sweden will be present at the ceremony. The public is welcome. There are seats available in the back of the auditorium.
