It is easy to cooperate with Umeå University
Umeå University was founded in 1965 and is Sweden's fifth oldest university. Today, we have a strong international and multicultural presence with students, teachers and researchers from all over the world. Our university has approximately 29,000 students and over 4,100 employees.
External Relations is Umeå University’s joint resource for improving and strengthening the cooperation between our university, industry and society. We act as an intermediary between the faculties, departments and centres of our university and industry and society.
Office for External Relations will provide you with access to the academic competence, research and qualified project managers of Umeå University. We have valuable experience in cooperation within research, training and education and student projects. We work to identify and bring together partners from the university and from small and medium-sized companies and organizations regionally, nationally and internationally.
Our Grants Office - is your contact point for international research cooperation with the university and our regional, national and international partners from universities, industry and society.
You will find us on campus in Umeå, in the University Liaison Building. We are also represented on a local level in Lycksele, Skellefteå, Örnsköldsvik and Kiruna. Our regional offices are the local contacts and intermediaries for cooperation with Umeå University. These offices are also responsible for the regular study programmes and courses given in Lycksele, Skellefteå and Örnsköldsvik, respectively.
