Science shop for university-civil society collaboration

How can we increase collaboration between universities and civil society for the sake of democratic and sustainable communities? Welcome to a lunch seminar about science shops* where guests from Aalborg University share their experiences of studying, working with and setting up science shops in Sweden and Europe. Their talks are followed by a workshop where we discuss possibilities for a science shop at Umeå University. The event is hosted by External Relations Office in collaboration with the Northern Network for Social Innovation Research (A regional part of Mötesplats Social Innovations Research Network)

*Science shops are dedicated to solve problems. They provide independent, participatory scientific research support in response to concerns experienced by civil society.
