Celebrate 30 years of the Erasmus programme

This year, the Erasmus programme, now Erasmus+, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. To mark this occassion, a celebration will be arranged on campus for students and staff. In addition, students organise meetups in Tromsö and San Sebastián. If you have been on exchange, are here on exchange or simply curious about what opportunities are available - join the celebration!
At 12.00, Vice-Chancellor Dieter Müller will give a short presentation of his own experience of being an exchange student at Umeå University, and thereafter you are invited to a mingle with sandwich layer cake (smörgåstårta) - limited to 300 servings. First come, first served!

The original Erasmus began in 1987 as an exchange programme that gave higher education students a taste of life and learning abroad. For 30 years, the Erasmus programme, now Erasmus +, has allowed millions of participants to travel abroad to study, practice and gain skills in their work. Erasmus + is a programme for European and international exchanges and collaborations that brings together people of different backgrounds.
