Time: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The event is for: students - anyone - employees
Friday at Bildmuseet with art, bar and free admission. The whole museum – exhibitions, museum shop and restaurant – will be open until 9 pm. This evening at 7 pm there will be a performance by the famous French actor Philippe Girard reading Dada poetry. For the international audience he is well known for films as Cyrano de Bergerac and Micmacs. In France he is also acting at the theatre, in plays by Shakespeare and Molière as well as contemporary authors like Oliver Py.
This event is part of the programme in conjunction to the exhibition Dada is Dada, with works from one of the most influential art movements of the 20th century. Dada began in 1916 in Zurich as a reaction to the conservative values of bourgeois society and conventional aesthetic ideals, to nationalism, and to the on-going First World War. In just a few years, the movement spread across the world. The exhibition is produced by Bildmuseet with loans from private collectors in Europe.
