Post-doctoral scholarship. The post-doctoral scholarship is financed by Tore Browaldhs Foundation, Handelsbanken. The scholarship is for full time and is limited to three years. The tasks associated with this scholarship are primarily research activities within the research profile, “Projects, Innovation and Networks”. We are looking for a promising young researcher actively engaged in empirical research in the area of innovation projects, inter-organizational relations, management of technology, or entrepreneurship. The holder of the scholarship is expected to perform and publish research in this area, and to contribute to the development of the research group.
Projects, Innovations and Networks is a key research profile at the business school, and a part of CiiR (Centre for Inter-organizational Innovation Research), a center of excellence financed by Vinnova. The center is focusing on distributed innovations, a joint effort with Luleå University of Technology. Current research themes include partnership for new innovations, development of inter-organizational relationships and organizational networks, how competitors in networks simultaneously compete and cooperate to develop and innovate, and regional, national and international developments of SMEs. The environment consists of seven senior researchers, five postdocs and PhD students. A strong collaboration network both within the university, with other universities and with visiting scholars contributes to a vibrant environment.
Umeå School of Business and Economics (USBE) has over 170 employees including about 90 PhDs and researchers. The activities consist of research and teaching in business administration, economics and statistics. We have more than 2000 students going through our programs/year. Eligibility requirements: Applicants should have obtained their PhD degree within five years from the application date. The scholarship is for an international researcher.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and inform society at large, in relation to research, educational and developmental activities

The primary basis for selection will be the ability to carry out and publish high quality relevant for the school’s research profile “Projects, Innovation and Networks”.
