International Week 2011, 14-17 November
Umeå University presents the 4th annual International Week, a multifaceted cultural event which will see our campus turn into a smorgasbord of different cultural influences from all over the world. International Week 2011 has teamed up with clubs and organisations in Umeå on a programme including global music, foreign films, international cuisine and more.
“International Week is meant to inspire an interest in other countries and cultures. To do that we aim to present different cultural expressions in interesting and fun ways,” says Petter Forssell, Project Manager at the International Office.
An event for everyone
International Week is intended for students and staff members at Umeå University, as well as all residents of Umeå and the surrounding region. The main target is to bring bits and parts of cultural expressions from around the globe to be enjoyed at campus. The concept evolved in 2007 with the well received ‘International Evening’.
