Nature Medicine: new gene discovered can lead to ALS drug
[2012-08-29] A major international study published in the journal Nature Medicine shows how mutations in a particular gene called EphA4 substantially extends the lifespan of humans and animals conflicted with the deadly nerve disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The study involved scientists at Umeå University.
