University Library (UB)
The University Library (UB) is the largest academic research library in Northern Sweden. It has over 1.3 million volumes and is visited by 3,000 people each day when terms are in session. It exists primarily for the reseachers, instructors at Umeå University, but is also accessible to the general public. The University Library consists of the:
- Main Library (located in the Social Sciences Buidling)
- Medical Library (located in the University Hospital)
- Umeå University Library Campus Örnsköldsvik (located in Örnsköldsvik)
- Research Archives (located near the Textbook Collection in the Main Library)
- Resource Lab (for those needing assistance with reading and/or writing)
