About the course
Forensic Linguistics examines the role of linguistics in the legal process. This course examines the language of the police, the police interview, language in the courtroom, witness memory for linguistic and phonetic details, forensic speaker identification, voice disguise and speaker imitation. These topics will be examined from linguistics and cognitive science perspectives
