About the course

Health is a prerequisite for personal development and is one of the most treasured components in life. The concept of health is multi-facetted and depend on biological, psychological, and social factors. The physical environment as well as the work environment do also influence health through the adaptation that these environments, both physical and social, require from the individual. In the interaction between the individual and environment, stress often occurs. Stress is a central theme in health psychology as well as in this cross-disciplinary introductory course which emphasizes the interaction between the individual, the environment and work.

The course at a glance: The health concept, stress and stress moderators, occupational health psychology, environmental health psychology, risk behavior, health promotive behavior, life style, life quality, positive psychology, and pain.
