About the course
Climate change is realizing to be one of the greatest treats to mankind in the 21th century with econsequences to health and welfare globally. Even with increased efforts for mitigation to reduce greenhouse gases the impacts will continue for several decennia due to accumulation of the emissioin the atmosphere. This highlights the need for adaptation measures to increase the preparedneclimate change impacts on human health. The course is directed to introduce the variety of effects associated with climate change in different regions on health and welfare systems, e.g. heat, pollutiocontamination, malaria, dengue, vole fever and waterborne diseases, as well as the state of the art and proceedings in prevention, early warning systems and policy strategies.
