Aquatic Ecology, 15.0 Credits
About the course
The course focuses on structure, ecological function and dynamics of communities in aquatic environments, with special emphasis on freshwater and brackish water. Identification of microorganisms, zooplankton, benthic fauna, fish and macrovegetation are treated. The course provides insight into scientific method and theory and prepares for aquatic research and professional activities. A scientific project is an important part of the course.
