Computational and systems biology, 15.0 Credits
About the course
The course starts with an overview of the different building blocks of the cell and their usage to assemble different macromolecules. Also the different physical and chemical processes in the cell are presented, and how its molecules can process information of its environment and control the production of different molecules. The course gives a framework for quantitative studies of cellular processes using mathematical tools and computer simulations. The course material is based upon an integration of knowledge from physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and computer science.
