Computer Graphics and Visualization, 7.5 Credits
About the course
The objective of the course is to introduce fundamental techniques and methods for two-dimensional and tree-dimensional computer graphics. The different stages in the graphics pipeline where a scene description is rendered into a 2D raster image is covered. Practical aspects and graphics programming with OpenGL is also part of the examination. The following topics will be discussed: algorithms and models for geometric projections, transformations, coordinate systems, parametric curves, hidden surface determination, colour theory, texture mapping, shading and lighting.
Level of Education: Basic with academic experience
Notes: The course can be included in the Master's Program in Computational Science and Engineering.Course Menu
