Content
Independent work is carried out where the knowledge from previously completed courses is applied. The work is carried out under the guidance of supervisors.

Expected study results
After completing the course, the student should:

  • be able to apply his/her knowledge of physics, mathematics and other relevant subjects, - be able to plan and carry out an independent work,
  • report a larger project in writing as well as orally,
  • broadened and deepened his/her knowledge of physics.

Forms of instruction
The degree project can be carried out within or outside the university, or as a collaborative project. Instruction is given in the form of individual supervision and seminar exercises.

Examination
The degree project is presented in a written report that is discussed at a seminar. If the report is written in Swedish, a summary in English should be included. For the degree project, one of the grades Fail (U), Pass (G) or Pass with Distinction (VG) is set.

Literature
Literature that is necessary for the course is determined in consultation between the student, supervisor and examiner.
