Arctic geoecology, 15.0 Credits
About the course
The course examines global environmental changes and their consequences for biogeochemical processes in arctic and subarctic ecosystems. Particular focus is given to linkages between terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, transport of nutrients and green house gases and effects of climate change on biological and geochemical processes. The course is given by researchers at Climate Impacts Research Centre in Abisko, Lapland. Important parts are fieldwork, methods and writing a scientific report.
