Important! If you only intend to take web-based online courses at Umeå University, a residence permit is not required as all teaching is provided via the internet. Admittance to an online course does not grant you the right to obtain a residence permit to study in Sweden.

How to Apply:

Applications are submitted online via the national application website University Admissions. A direct link to the course at University Admissions  is available by clickling the "APPLY" link above. Click the course title link below for more detailed information.  The deadline to apply is 15 January 2013.

You will need to create a personal user account at University Admissions if you have not already done so. A user account functions as a link between your online application and your personal data and qualifications. After creating a user account, simply Log in to your account to check your application status.
