Application Procedure for Exchange Students

Hello exchange students!

We are very happy that you are interested in spending your exchange period at Umeå University.

Firstly, you need to be nominated on-line by your coordinator at your home university. After you have been nominated, you will receive the application instructions and the link to the application form by e-mail. If you have not received the application instructions by e-mail, remind your coordinator that Umeå University requires an on-line nomination.

Secondly, you fill out the on-line application form and choose the courses that you would like to study here in Umeå. You apply for housing on the same form.

We hope that the following pages will provide you with all the information that you will need to successfully apply to our university. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact the international coordinator who is responsible for your exchange programme. You can find his or her contact information on our staff page.

Ensure that your Courses will be Approved

Make sure that you get your course choices approved by your study advisor/coordinator at your home university so the courses that you study during your exchange period will be accredited once you return home.
