Master's Programme in Interaction Design, 120 Credits
About the programme
Designing understandable products has become a major challenge for industrial designers. Enormous advances in information technology have provided us with information-based products such as mobile telephones, automobile guidance systems or digital cameras where complexity of the technology has also meant complexity of use, causing confusion and frustration for users. The Interaction Design programme covers all aspects of the relation between people and machines with particular focus on the exchange of information between product and user. We see the discipline of Interaction Design as the ability to design both the physical and cognitive product interface and to integrate them into a successful whole. Our aim is to enable designers to create understandable products.
User Centered Approach: Actively involving the user in design projects is a central feature of the course on Interaction Design. Emphasis is placed on user involvement in the design process and on user evaluation of results.
