SyllabusMaster's Programme in Economics, 120 Credits
The Master's Program in economics is a two year program but with an option to study one year only. You can read more about the program outline below.
The courses listed in the tables are the suggested outline of the program. Different options are listed below.
1st Semester (fall)

| Public Economics I | 7.5 ECTS |
Options
You can chose to study Financial Economics II instead of Public Economics I. Another option is to study Environmental Economics instead of Financial Economics I. I the latter case, Financial Economics II is no longer an option.
2nd Semester (spring)

| Macroeconomics I | 7.5 ECTS |
| Master Thesis I | 15 ECTS |
Options
Instead of taking Microeconomics I and Macroeconomics I students can choose Mathematics II and Econometrics II. During some semesters Macroeconomics I can be substituted by Microeconomics II.
3rd Semester (fall)

| Labour Economics | 7.5 ECTS |
| Environmental Economics | 7.5 ECTS |
| Financial Economics II | 7.5 ECTS |
These courses are also the first semester on our PhD-program. Avaliable courses depends on your choice during the first semester. The third smester is the most appropriate time for internships and exchange studies.
4th Semester (spring)

Option
If you did'nt write a thesis during your second semester you must write a 30 ECTS Master Thesis during the fourth semester instead.
It is possible to take courses in other subjects than economics instead of some of the courses listed above. Please contact the study administrator for more information.
