What’s it like to study at Umeå University?
Umeå University is studying with a lot of diffirent nationalities. It is very rewarding for me because I discover different manners of thinking andworking. Actually, Umeå University is a very relaxed place to study, classes & discussions with your lecturers are always informal and it provides a much better way to learn. The campus is for me not just a place to learn, but also a place where you meet friends make new ones.
Your impression of Umeå and the surrounding areas?
Umeå city is a beautiful place. If you have a bicycle you can easily accesseverywhere. It\'s a university city with lots of students around, which makes it a really fun place to live. The surrounding landscape is just nice.You live next to the seaside and you can get to exciting and beautiful places for skiing ,hiking, cycling ,or just relaxing. The locals also seem to be very welcoming and receptive to international students.
What you like best about the town of Umeå and its surroundings?
The hospitable nature of the people who are kind and respectful. Umeå is a small city but there are a lot of international students. It has been fantastic meeting people from all over the world and learning about so many different cultures.The locals here are helpful and friendly.
What you would say to another international student thinking of attending Umeå University?
If you decide to come in Umeå University you will make friends for life from every country of the world. Actually, I believe thinking of coming to Umeå University for studies is a brilliant idea that an aspiring student could ever imagine. The Umeå educational system has high standards, excellent cultural diversity and egalitarian Scandinavian values. So "välkommen till Umeå."
