Traveling to Umeå

Travel to Stockholm
By Plane
If you are flying to Stockholm, you can fly to the main airport "Arlanda" (most major airlines) or "Skavsta" (Ryanair) or Bromma (Malmö aviation).
IMPORTANT! You must take your luggage through customs in Stockholm! Your luggage will NOT be routed directly to Umeå from your home country. If you do not take it through customs in Stockholm yourself, it will still be in Stockholm when you arrive in Umeå.
By Train or Bus
When you arrive in Stockholm by train or bus you will arrive at Stockholm City Terminal. From here there is easy access to transfer buses/trains to the airports and the bus terminal. The trains that travel the northern coast (taking you to Umeå) also depart from Stockholm City Terminal.
Transfers
If you are flying and need to transfer between airports, or if you arrive in Stockholm by a different means of transport than you will travel further with, it is important that you plan how long it will take you to get from one travel center/airport to another

Traveling to Umeå

Note! You WILL NOT be picked up at the airport, train station and so on, but you should look for the Umeå University information corner at the airport/bus station when you arrive.
