Students' Rights and Obligations
As a student at Umeå University you have to abide by the rules and regulations that govern our university. We, as a university, also have to follow these same rules and regulations in order to safeguard the rights of our students.
Umeå University is a public administration authority and one of the basic principles is that its rulings should be wielded in accordance with the law. In addition to the law, local rules can be implemented at the university. The local rules have to be in accordance with the law. The rules must be respected by both students and employees. The code of rules and procedures deals with issues such as admission, examinations, student influence, the equal treatment of students, disabilities and much more.
