Support for Students

The following information provides a quick run through of the services that are available for students at our university. To find out more about a specific service, please consult the links under Related Information.

Study Advisers/Study counsellors

There is a study advisor at your department or connected to your study programme who can assist you with matters concerning your specific course or programme. If you require further guidance, there are also study counsellors at the university Student Services.

Student Chaplains

If you need someone to talk to, our Student Chaplains are happy to listen and discuss life issues with students of all faiths and denominations.

Disability Services for Students

Students with disabilities may be entitled to academic support through the university. If you are in need of support, please contact the student disability coordinator at Student Services to find out what kind of help you are entitled to.

Writing in English

If you feel insecure when writing academic texts as part of your studies, you can have a look at the on-line support that can be reached through "Writing in English", under Related Information on this page. This will take you to a collection of external links that aim to help you to improve your skills in producing text in English.

Student Unions/Utbildningsbevakare

The student Unions have what is called "Utbildningsbevakare". Their task is to protect students' interests in the development of courses and programmes and to support them in cases of disciplinary action, conflicts or perceived discrimination.
