Service and Support for Students
Welcome to Umeå University! We would like to give you a helping hand as you settle in and begin your adventure here in Umeå.
To all incoming students, please carefully read the following important information regarding your next steps before arriving in Umeå. See the 'Newly Admitted Student' link in the menu to the left.
When you arrive at campus, you may take part in the Orientation Course, which begins just before the start of each term. It is also a good idea to join the Buddy Programme where students meet each other and participate in Umeå's student life. The Buddy Programme arranges a variety of fun social activities, for example sports, parties and travel, or just having a "fika" with other students.

The Study and Career Guidance staff can help you with your questions regarding student services and academic education. We will advise you on how to go about your studies.

During your time as a student at Umeå University you can consult the Student Health Services if you have any health-related questions (mental and physical health or social and study issues). Also, learn about your rights and responsibilities during your stay.
