Transferring Credits from Other Universities
In most cases, it is possible for you to include credits for courses that were completed at other Swedish or foreign universities in a degree from Umeå University. In some cases, professional or vocational experience is also considered. However, it is preferred that you are an active student at Umeå University before any transfer of credits is considered. The right to credit transfer is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance and in Umeå University’s local ordinance of transfer of credits.
Who decides about Credit Transfers?
It is up to the faculty where you are/will be studying to decide whether or not the credits that you have from other universities can be transferred and included in a specific programme at Umeå University.
