Dr Kai-Florian Richter is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computing Science. His work is set in the interface of Artificial Intelligence, Spatial Cognition, and Geographic Information Science. Using a cognitive engineering approach his research focuses on situated human-computer interaction in spatial tasks. He is an expert in human navigation and wayfinding, spatial learning and cognitive maps, and geographic information representation and analysis.
