The European Prospective Investigation into Diet and Cancer, EPIC, is a collaboration between European researchers in a network focused on lifestyle and environmental factors in relation to cancer and other chronic diseases.
Umeå is a part of the collaboration since 1997, with a part of the VIP cohort.
The researchers in the EPIC project do not have access to the identities of the individuals in the database.
