We recommend that researchers write the application for ethical approval with help from the Biobank Research Unit. There are now many details about, among other things, register extraction, samples and handling of personal data that need to be included in the application.
We suggest that you contact ebf@umu.se before you start with the ethical application for guidance. We provide text extracts that can be used to describe the cohort and the data administrative work carried out at the Biobank Research Unit in connection with sample and data withdrawal.
We recommend that the Biobank Research Unit reviews the application before it is submitted to the Swedish Ethical Review Authority.
