Guidelines for publications

The following instructions apply to studies on material from the Northern Sweden Health and Disease Cohort, NSHDS.

The following text should be included in Acknowledgement. For more information, please contact Åsa Ågren. Italicized parts should be adjusted for the study.

We thank (in consortia with other cohorts: NSHDS investigators thank) the Biobank Research Unit at Umeå University, Västerbotten Intervention Programme, the Northern Sweden MONICA study and Region Västerbotten for providing data and samples and acknowledge the contribution from Biobank Sweden, supported by the Swedish Research Council (VR 2017-00650).

Data availability statement

Many journals ask for a ”data availability statement” upon publication. The following text suggestion can be used regarding the availability of individual-level data.

"Access to individual-level data can be provided for research purposes but is restricted by laws regarding the privacy of research participants and are therefore not made publicly available. Requests for data can be sent to the Biobank Research Unit at Umeå University (contact:ebf@umu.se )."
