Conference overview

Time: Tuesday, 9 November - Wednesday, 10 November, 9:00-16:30

Location: online

We invite you to participate in this annual interdisciplinary conference that will be again fully digital this year. Our aim is to foster collaborations between the different departments and research centres affiliated with the Chemical Biological Centre, KBC, including departments from two faculties from Umeå University as well as from the Forestry Faculty from SLU.

A special focus this year will be on Biodiversity and Bioenergy. We welcome you to listen to plenary lectures around these topics and a panel discussion moderated by Malin von Essen and invite you to actively discuss and interact with the other participants on our digital conference platform.

Come and listen to exciting scientific talks from new faculty members of the KBC environment, awardees and researchers that received major grants in the last year. View video research pitch presentations prepared by PhD students and junior postdocs. Update yourself about the research infrastructures that are available in Umeå and get to know more about their services.

Take the chance to find out more about the activities of the Umeå Postdoc society (UPS, https://umeapostdocsociety.se/) and listen to selected talks by young researchers from this community.

We are also planning to include several interactive elements in the conference programme. Check for updates on this homepage and announcements in the KBC Event letters!

Deadlines

Registration is closed. For late registrations contact info.kbc@umu.se.

The registration is free but mandatory to get access to the digital conference platform.
