Food and nutrition is an interdisciplinary field which comprises all processes that occur in the encounter of man with food.
The Department of Food, Nutrition and Culinary Sciences has about 30 employees and we annually train more than 1000 students within the food and culinary science professions.
We have campus and distance courses at basic and advanced levels: some are entirely web-based and some are in English.
Our research focuses on different aspects of food and meals: this is also reflected in our education programmes.
The department and our special facilities are located in the Teacher Education Building on Campus.
