Food and nutrition is an interdisciplinary field which comprises all processes that occur in the encounter of man with food.
Each year approximately 600 students follow one of our study programmes or an independent course in Food and Nutrition. The Department of Food and Nutrition is the host of two study programmes; the Dietetics Programme and the Food and Nutrition/Catering Management Programme. Food and Nutrition is the major subject in these study programmes.
Other programmes in which the department offers courses are the Teacher Education Programme, the Programme for Sports sciences, the Gastronomy Programme and the SPA Programme.
Food and Nutrition can also be studied in the form of single subject courses up to the postgraduate level and can be combined into a one-year or two-year Masters degree.
