About the course

This course deals with risks of organic chemicals in the environment and for human health. It covers biotic and abiotic processes including persistence, availability, fate and transport, and metabolism with a focus on assessing exposure of wildlife and humans. It also introduces the exposome concept, means to assess environmental and human health effects, adverse outcome pathways, and non-testing methods. Risk assessment metrics are introduced and trained in a case setting of a particular chemical.
