WELCOME TO THE COURSE
Welcome to the course Environmental Humanities! You have been admitted to the course, but before you can begin your studies there are a few things you are required to do first, see instructions below. If you have any questions regarding your course, you are most welcome to contact us. You will find our contact information below. We wish you a warm welcome to the course and hope that you will enjoy your studies at Umeå University.
Have you been admitted to a course or programme, but do not wish to keep your place? Then you should decline your offer by logging in to your account at Universityadmissions.se. In doing so, you free up your place to someone who is on the waiting list.
If you are in need of special support due to disability, you should apply for that in good time before you start your studies. Find more information about support for studying with disabilities.Close
In order to begin your studies at the course, you need to register for it in the student web. You need to be registered for the course in the study documentation system to be able to follow the course and to get your results recorded during the course.
To be able to sign in to the student web and register online, you need to have activated your Umu-id user account (see heading "New at Umeå University" below for more information).
Online registration in the student web is open from one week before and until sunday the week the course begins (See information under heading "Course start" below). It is important that you sign in to the student web and register during that time period, or otherwise you risk losing your place (seat) at the course/programme.
Note that if you have been "conditionally" admitted, we will check if your application meets the course requirements. About two weeks before the course starts you will be contacted through email if you lack required knowledge. If not, you will be able to register in line with the procedure described above.
You will gain access to the online learning platform one day after you have registered for the course. To access the student web visit the adress https://www.umu.se/en/student/
If you do not want to register for the course, you do not need to contact us directly. Instead, please be sure to decline your offer at Universityadmissions.se This notifies the university that you will not be attending and makes the place available to another applicant.
This course is taught entirely online. All of your assignments, teacher contacts and examinations are carried out through our web-based learning platform. You will gain access to the platform the day after you have registered for the course.Close

Information due to COVID-19
From 30 September, most of the previous COVID measures are lifted – welcome back to campus! However, things will not go back to normal straight away. For instance, some parts of your education may still take place online and it is still important to maintain distance to others for some time yet.
The return to campus is gradual, and your education is unlikely to be back to normal straight away. Since the return to campus is planned by those responsible for your education, you will receive more detailed information regarding your studies from your department.Close
