About the course

Literature and Disability is aimed at master's level students and higher interested in literature, the body, disability studies, social work, medicine and psychiatry, among other topics.

This course both introduces Disability Studies through a series of critical readings, and examines the representation of disability through a selection of historical and contemporary literary texts.

The language of instruction is English. All mandatory literature is in English.
The course can be studied as a separate course at master's level, or as part of a master's programme.

The medium of instruction is English. All communication is via the course learning platform. All mandatory literature is in English.

Required Knowledge

One of the following alternatives:
1) Bachelor’s degree (180 credits)
2) 90 university credits, of which at least 7,5 credits must come from an independent project, or equivalent qualifications
Knowledge of English at level B2.1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
