About the course

The course covers eukaryotic organisms genetics and evolution on DNA, organism, population and species level. The genetic structure, organization and transmission between generations as well as the basics of modern evolutionary biology , with emphasis on evolutionary processes are treated and applied. A central part of the course is how various biological phenomena can be understood from an evolutionary perspective. The theoretical elements of the course are exemplified in the classroom, during computer exercises and laboratory work.
