You have been admitted. If you want to keep your place (seat), you do not have to reply to your offer.
If you do not want to keep your place you should decline your offer by logging in to 'My pages' on universityadmissions.se, and follow the instructions. You should click "I wish to decline this offer" next to the course or programme you want to decline.
If you see "Reserve" next to your course or programme in the Notification of selection results, this means that you've been placed on a waiting list for that course/programme.
If you are in need of special support due to disability, you should apply for that in good time before you start your studies. Find more information about support for studying with disabilities.Close
This course uses online course registration. You register by entering the Student Web (see instructions below). Important! Registration must be made witin the period 25 September to 3 October 2019
It is very important that you register during these dates. If you have not registered before the deadline you may loose your seat on the course. After the registration window has closed vacant seats are offered to students on waiting lists.

Your schedule is available under "My Page" in the Student Web four (4) weeks before the course starts. You can also use the link above and search for your schedule by term, course code and/or application code.
This course is a Campus course at the University Campus. In this course, you will conduct studies both by yourself and as part of a group. You, with assistance of the course coordinator, literature, lectures and seminars will complete your assignments. Much within the course is created around the participants' activities where all students' previous experiences and questions are equally important.
Communication between students and teachers will take place mainly in the classroom but also through the online learning platform. All our courses have an online course platform and it provides you with course information, additional literature and support in terms of resources, such as pre-recorded online lectures and discussion boards.
This course include a two days outdoor adventure where you will be introduced to our northern Swedish Autumn climate and beautiful nature. The dates for the event is stated in your schedule. It is an overnight stay, with your teachers and you will cook your own meals (in small groups) in the outdoors.
To participate in all the learning and fun of the outdoor stay, you will need to have arranged the following equipment:
- Wind/waterproof clothes/rain wear (check the forecast)
- Clothing suitable for the weather, warm jacket/fleece is nice
- Shoes depending on weather
- Something to eat out of and with
- Personal gear, such as a knife, torch, hygiene articles etc.
- Outdoor cooking kit
- Sleeping mat
- Sleeping bag - If you do not have your own, you may rent from IKSU (see below).
We provide outdoor cooking kit and sleeping mats, but if you have your own please bring that. You can find a rental shop at IKSU Sports Centre next to Umeå Univeristy Campus, which have some of the gear for rent.

Online course platform
You can access the online course platform with your Umu-Id four weeks before the course starts. You must log in before the 3 October 2019, 23.55 pm (CET). After that date it is no longer possible to access the platform without approval from the department.

International students are recommended to arrive at least a few days before the start of the regular term, preferably prior to the Orientation. If you fail to arrive on time, you have to contact the study counselor as soon as possible, but not later than one week ahead of the course start, or you may not be able to register for the programme.
If you will have housing through the International Housing Office you will receive information about your arrival in your offer of housing.
Don't forget - Umeå has cold winters, so pack accordingly with a warm jacket, warm shoes, gloves and hat.Close
Moving to a new country with an unfamiliar language, culture and customs can be a challenge. We would like to help you and ease that challenge so that you can focus on your studies. Therefore, we would like to offer you the possibility to take part in our Orientation, which begins before the start of each term.Close
As a new student, you need to activate your user account approximately two weeks prior to the term start in order to, for instance:
If you are a new student, you will automatically receive a user account when you are admitted, but you will need to activate it for it to function properly. You will not be able to activate it until approximately two weeks prior to the term start.
