About the course

The course goal is to train the ability to see and express form, through practicing life drawing. A core foundation of the course is to work with sight and seeng as a basis for drawing. During the course, besides perception and cognitive processes, the areas of form, volume, balance, weight and movement are focused through practicing sketching techniques in order to reproduce the wholeness, proportions and structure of the body in relation to image composition. During the course, methods and concepts specific to the area of life drawing are introduced. Life drawing is one of the basic skills in the artistic field that need constant practice and exercise in order for the practitioner to develop their perception in relation to drawing techniques and the use of drawing tools, and to develop the personal ability of visual expression. The course is therefore suitable both for beginners and for those with more advanced drawing skills.

You are expected to actively participate once a week. For those who cannot attend a lesson, you will be given a homework assignment.
The course is mainly in Swedish but if there is English-speaking students tutoring can be held in English. If most of the students are English speakers the lectures will be given in English with the option of tutoring in Swedish.
