About the course

Directed toward advanced writers of English who have English as a foreign or second language. Study and practice of text types common within academia such as process descriptions, comparisons, critiques, and cause/effect. Focus on text organization, regular writing practice, develpment of vocabulary, sentence-level errors commonly found in research writing and developing more effective sentences. Regular feedback provided. Participation required in grammar forum and peer editing.

Outline for distance course

The medium of instruction is English. All communication is via the course learning platform. Access to a computer with broadband internet connection is required for participating in and completing the course tasks. Required Knowledge

Upper Secondary Course: English 6 or English B and at least two semesters (60 ects) of university studies.

As the course is taught entirely in English, an exemption will be made from the general entry requirements for university studies in Sweden, in so far as the upper secondary course Swedish 3 / Swedish B will not be required for admission to this course.

Selection

Students applying for courses within a double degree exchange agreement, within the department's own agreements will be given first priority. Then will - in turn - candidates within the department's own agreements, faculty agreements, central exchange agreements and other departmental agreements be selected.
