Entry Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent first-cycle qualification comprising of at least 180 ECTS or a corresponding qualification from an Internationally recognized university. Specific entry requirements are: 90 ECTS in one of the following subjects; Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cognitive Science or equivalent studies. Proficiency in English equivalent to Swedish upper Secondary course English B/6.

Degree of Master of Science (60 credits). Main field of study: (Informatics). Specialization: Human -Computer Interaction and User Experience .

Degree of Master of Science (120 credits). Main field of study: (Informatics). Specialization: Human -Computer Interaction and User Experience.

Description of the education for current education cycle

This education is offered on second cycle level. The targets for second-cycle courses and study programmes can be found in Chapter 1, Section 9 of the Higher Education Act.

Transfer of Credits

Student who considers themselves to possess knowledge from previous relevant studies or professional or vocational experience that can be comparable to a course or part of a course in the study programme, can apply for transfer of credits. Approved transfer of credits means that the student does not need to take the or those parts of the education that the decision covers. General

Under the heading Outline it is shown which courses are mandatory and which are elective. Choice of elective courses is made in consultation with the Program Coordinator. Mandatory courses are the courses that all students in the program normally study. A student who follows the study program is guaranteed a place on all mandatory courses, provided that the eligibility requirements for the current course are met. The courses are given in the order shown in the outline. The order of the courses may be subject to change. For information on how individual courses are set up please refer to the syllabus for each course. The programme as well as the course literature is in English.

Thesis
For the Degree of Master of Science 60 credits the student must have completed a thesis within the program worth at least 15 credits in Informatics with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience.

For the Degree of Master of Science 120 credits the student must have completed a thesis within the program worth 30 credits in Informatics with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience. The thesis may comprise of less than 30 credits, but must cover at least 15 credits, if the student has already completed a thesis at the advanced level of at least 15 credits in Informatics with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience.
