Why did you choose to study at Umeå University?
It was easily available in Google search and had a one year programme which I wanted.

What do you like most about your programme?
The easy access to information and conducive environment for learning.

What has been your most memorable moment about the programme so far?
When I told a teacher we did not understand her and she went through the course again even though we had gone almost half way the course and ensured we understood. Amazing.

What do you do when you're not studying?
I like to have "Fika" with my newly acquired friends, attending a fellowship group on Saturdays in town and church on Sundays at the Ålidhem library. Also, I was like keeping in touch with people at home on phone and Skype!

What you like best about the town of Umeå and its surroundings?
It is calm, and people are willing to help. There is availability of most things one would need to enjoy one's stay here.

What do you find as the biggest cultural difference, both socially and educationally, from your country with Sweden?
The hierarchy of teachers and students which was in my country and not Sweden. Socially people here are shy or withdrawn but once you get to know them they are honest, respectful and hold you dear.
People here have varying beliefs as opposed to my country where people expressed belief in God. That has given me opportunity to see them as they are and love and value them, respecting their choices in life.

What you would say to another international student thinking of attending Umeå University?
Just prepare for the cold and decide to see the bright side of cold climates. Once that is done you will find that this is one of the best places to grow and develop academically and socially. It's a great place for networks and help is available, just ask and ask early.

What are you career aspirations?
I would love to be a part of a revolution in Uganda's health sector through social development and transformation, and hope that will spread to the rest of Africa and the world. I have been given skills and networks here that I feel will go a long way in achieving that goal.
In Umeå I have not walked alone and great dreams are achieved when we work together. Thank you Umeå.
