Examination modes

Examination modes
The course is examined through participation in seminars, written assignments and oral presentations. The final grade - Fail (U), Pass (G) or Pass with distinction (VG) – is based on combination of said examination modes. The Study guide that will be handed out during the introduction to the course will contain more information about these examination modes. In short, the first part is examined of a short individual paper (approximately 10-12 pages) that examines the strengths and weaknesses of different theories. This paper is graded Fail, Pass or Pass with Distinction. The second part of the course is examined by an individual written assignment that is graded on the same scale. During each course there is also a mandatory oral seminar presentation that is graded on a Pass-Fail scale. The final grade is based on the compilation of the performance on the two written assignments. No final grade will be awarded unless the two mandatory oral presentations have been granted a passing grade.
