Humlab participates in a number of visualization-based projects. Some of them are about analysing and understanding complex and extensive data sets by means of drawing up charts and map-based models. E.g. within the SEAD project where we created a database for registration and visualization of environmental archaeological data for a better understanding of environmental and climate change.
In other projects, 3D visualization is developed to provide a better and contextual understanding of historical and archaeological environments, and in other projects, GIS and map-based interfaces are used to interpret and understand, for example, historical events, linguistic development and idiotic dissemination.
Here is also the equipment available at Humlab-X, with display studio combined with 3D functionality and VR equipment, as well as the floor screen together with the triptych screen's important tools.
