We finish the week by taking the whole day to stretch our creativity to the maximum, guided by Morten Friis-Olivarius. Guaranteed to be different and fun, this session will have limited spaces so be sure to register early to secure your spot!
Schedule
Venue: Rotundan
All day - Workshop
Morten Friis-Olivarius will guide the participants through a whole day of workshop with the subject Cognitive Neuroscience of Creativity!
The Neuroscience of Creativity
What actually happens in the brain when we get a new idea? Why are some people more creative than others? In this workshop, we will explore the latest research in neuroscience to uncover the mysteries of creativity and the brain mechanisms that enable human innovation. Contrary to popular belief, creativity is not a rare gift possessed by only a select few. Instead, it is an inherent ability that we are all born with—a fundamental part of our cognitive toolkit. Like any other skill, creativity can be cultivated and enhanced with the right training. Often, it is the natural processes in our brain that limit our creative potential. In this workshop, we will learn how to use insights from neuroscience to 'trick' our brains into working more creatively. We will learn to unlock the secrets of our creative brain and enhance our creative abilities.

Dr. Morten Friis-Olivarius has spent over a decade researching the neural mechanisms behind human creativity.
Dr. Morten Friis-Olivarius is the CEO and founder of the Copenhagen Institute of NeuroCreativity (CINC). As a neuroscientist, he has spent over a decade researching the neural mechanisms behind human creativity—why some are more creative than others—and how to apply this knowledge to enhance creativity in large corporations. His research demonstrates the crucial role of preconscious memory formation in creative talent and craftsmanship. Through his work at CINC, Morten advises leading companies such as Novo Nordisk, Novartis, and Maersk Line on how neuroscience can drive ingenuity and agility in corporate settings. He is also a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of PlatoScience, which develops neurostimulation headsets for medical applications.
