Off to a good start

An intensive introduction week about the skills you need at university and geared towards students who are new to the university and interested in refreshing their skills or discovering new techniques.

Instructions

We will adopt the same rules and norms as in a physical classroom (take notes; participate by asking and answering questions).

Please be certain to take notes as you listen to the lecture because it will not be possible to record the lecture, nor are the slides e-mailed to participants. Please respect this.

Use your video if you have a strong enough internet connection. Be aware that because you will be on video others will see you and your surroundings. Make efforts to present yourself with this in mind.

Mute your microphone unless you are speaking. For everyone’s benefit, join the lecture in as quiet a place as you have available.

During the lecture, you may be asked to participate via Chat or Polls. Please be prepared to do so by taking the time to familiarize yourself with the settings in Zoom beforehand.
