I am a doctoral candidate in political science and my research is about exploring how faith-based organizations in Asia work against human trafficking.
My research as a doctoral candidate focuses on how faith-based organizations work against human trafficking in Asia. My research is oriented towards qualitative methods and explores how different assumptions and power relation influence how faith-based organizations act and are perceived. I am conducting field studies on Thailand and Cambodia and interviews and observations will be the main methods used.
My doctoral studies are connected to Umeå Industrial Doctoral School (IDS) which works to open up opportunities for collaboration between university researchers and the private and public sectors through jointly-funded research projects. My collaborating partners are ERIKS development partner and Evangeliska Frikyrkan (Interact), two Swedish organizations working against human trafficking in Asia.
